Back to the grind

Friday, November 25th, 2005

Back in the library after all these days… Thursday became a sleep-a-thon that stretched into Friday afternoon. Isn’t that lovely. It was snowing so much yesterday, it really encourages you to stay inside. Looked beautiful from my window though… The issue of Women and Environments magazine came out with my painting on the cover!! Whooohooo! [...]

Thinkin…

Sunday, October 3rd, 2004

Been thinking about the other site, that other project that was my 2004: the Famous Faces of Nassau and what it means or what it could mean. As you can see I’ve been fixing up this site and if you head over to that website you will see that I’ve been doing some housecleaning over [...]

The End is Near

Saturday, June 26th, 2004

Well haven’t I been the busy bee. Going hither and thither in the world like satan in the days of Job. Been in trinidad for yet another conference. The commemoration and reinterpretation of Haiti’s Bicentennial of Independence. A wonderful few days in Trinidad to be sure. Met and rubbed shoulders with the great ones, among [...]

Here are the shirts I promised to show you. No chicks, but still pretty sweet. Ask for yours at the opening. It’s late I’m tired, I finished the painting today. I have labels and stuff to do tonight, but I need a couple of hours sleep really bad. Thanks for the email Stan! I appreciate [...]

Never thought it would come really… 48 hours till the big dance… I’m not really scared. I have too much work to do to be scared. Too tired too. The T-shirts are here!! I’ll put up a picture of some fine chick wearing one of them tomorrow. (if said chick turns out to be me, [...]

Does it look like him?

Monday, May 10th, 2004

This painting is actually finished now, you can take a gander in the gallery to see the finished work, and I showed it to some people today, and they could not for the life of them figure out who this was a picture of. They said Paul Adderley actually. As an artist, that kind of [...]

Dey comin’

Saturday, May 8th, 2004

Here is the first draft that I did, based on the picture you saw yesterday. As I say with all of my first drafts… they are pretty horrible. This one is no exception. Remember too that this is a HUGE piece, I’m working on 48 x 36, so its a little tough getting paint in [...]

Da Chief

Friday, May 7th, 2004

Those of you who are wondering what I am up to artistically right now, can look no further than the subject of todays blog… Yes ladies and gentlemen, I present to you, the Prime Minister. No surprise here, who is more famous in the Bahamas than the right honourable? So finally I have gotten around [...]

Ouch

Thursday, May 6th, 2004

Hi, I am so tired right now, I don’t know what to say. I want to go to bed, but I know that there is more work to do. Jace has forsaken me. He is in the USA celebrating his brothers graduation. Meanwhile crunch time has hit big time, and there is only me. The [...]

Painting Again

Monday, May 3rd, 2004

Finally I’m painting again! Back in the saddle. I’m trying to make sure I don’t fall down sick again, but I’m there working. After a dismal week last week, the framers are back at it. We are trying to string consecutive days together. Hopefully today makes two straight! Who am I painting now? More later…
