Remains of the day

I’ve been working on a paper for the last few days. The paper was due last Wednesday. Four sleepless nights, 15 pots of coffee, a trip to Toronto and a 2 liter of Coke later the agony is over. Silly me really. I essentially decided to rewrite it a few days before it was due. Not the smartest thing I ever did. But its done. And I’m glad.

The summer is starting to come into focus after a lot of uncertainty. I have one more paper to get through; that one will be due mid-May. And I got the job. I had the interview yesterday and I’m starting tomorrow. Anxiety averted.

So I know where I’ll be and I know what, for the most part, I’ll be doing. Only thing now is to move out of the old Ottawa room. I guess I’ll get to that sometime next week.

I’m so glad that the days of the punk-rock flat-mate are coming to an end. The smell is almost over.

Listening to the last Laker game of the regular season right now. They’re in the process of killing the Sacramento Kings. If they win, and it looks like they will, they get the number one seed in the crazy western conference. I’m looking forward to these NBA playoffs, they’re shaping up to be very, very exciting.

Anybody else looking forward to the new Indiana Jones movie? The Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. Such a shitty title. It should have just been called “Indiana Jones and the Crystal Skull”, that would have been a lot less cheesy… I’ll still see it though.

Anyway. I got to go to work tomorrow, so more later.

congrats on the job and the paper!
Indeed, getting a paper done takes some load off.
Too bad i’m not into Indiana Jones; my hobby is though; i’ll tell him to watch out for The Kingdom of the Crystal Skull :)
