Lakers and ear plugs

I’m here listening to the Laker game. I was supposed to ignore this game, 15 minutes ago the Lakers were down by 25 or so, now its only a 3 point game. Correction… now it’s a tied game. I guess this is why I love ‘em.

I have a presentation tomorrow and I need to finish it. I guess I’ll get to it in a moment. The night, as they say, is still young.

I’ve started thinking about the summer. I now know where I’ll be in July. August will find me in Nassau doing research for my project. So I have two months to do something with: May and June. I’m gonna email all the profs I know to see if they have any kind of RA TA internships available for that time… I guess I also need to be getting some preliminary work done on the project as well in the mean time. Looks like I’m already too busy.

Been staying home a lot recently. Although I really love the coffee shop across the street, Bridgehead if you recall, it’s just way too expensive. I was spending about a buck fifty to two dollars an hour just to stay there. It’s nice and all, but… that’s way too high a burn rate. So I’ve started to scrimp and save.

It started with the ear plugs I bought. Remember the punk rocker flat-mate? Well, that’s one of the reasons I’ve been working outside. Even with his door closed the “music” grates my skin like nails on a blackboard. Now with the magic of ear plugs. I don’t hear it. Isn’t science wonderful? 5 bucks for earplugs saves me maybe $10 a day… Not so bad…

And back to the game :)

Update: The Lakers still lost. :(
