Finished
It’s all done. Finally. My final paper was completed Thursday night and turned in today (thanks Ketra
) It was crazy, finishing up a paper, packing and then heading on the 8am flight. Now I’m in Nassau, trying to take in this election fever that has swept through the country.
I guess my only reflection on writing essays non-stop for 4 weeks is that I find now that most of the time is spent just resisting the essay. Sitting there and being inactive because you don’t want to be there. I tried to use the time as a kind of practice, to recognize my resistance and get into the moment of writing and just be. Suffering is wanting to be somewhere else. And essays bring a lot of that type of suffering. Especially when the weather is good outside. Yeah. Essays as spiritual practice…
I missed a big FNM rally tonight. I fell so fast asleep after I stopped moving. But I’ll try to catch all the rallies and post my thoughts on it from here till election time.
