Lights Out
Well what a day. I took the GRE exam this morning after taking an intensive crash course over the weekend. I got a 600 in the verbal and 530 in the math. Those is B- ish passing grades in case you were wondering. From my understanding 400 is a C. I went looking at some grad school websites and it seems that 600 on the verbal is quite acceptable. I’m happy anyway. For the formality that they are, I don’t think I need to take them again. :0) On with the rest of the show I say!
I also got my ticket to go back home today. I will be returning to Nassau on a direct flight from Canada on West Jet. Thank God I don’t have to fly through the US. I always lose my bags and the hassle coming back is reeediculous!
But the title is lights out. And believe it or not we are in the middle of the first unannounced and lengthy brown out that I have seen since I have been living here. Can’t explain it. The Internet is still up and so is the water. So life does go on. Only that with winter coming on strong, they better don’t do this shit too often.
Lights out also refers to opening night in the NBA. My beloved Lakers are presently putting a wonderful piece of cut ass on the Phoenix Suns and this is without Kobe Bryant. Andrew Bynum is my boi! The team has a new promotion tonight, something to do with the lighting and they are calling it “Lights Out”, its supposed to look more theatrical or something. I guess the power outage is in honor of that? I would like to think so.
I lost my phone today. It was found pretty quickly and apparently it was on the road. Must have fallen out of my pocket. I was so absent minded today.
But some guy found it and I called him and he put it at the security building. Nice guy. Thanks whoever you are.
It also helps that I have a three-year-old Motorola that can’t receive phone calls inside buildings. I guess concrete wasn’t invented when this thing was produced… Not to say that the guy wasn’t going to return it if it was a RAZR or anything…
I must go to bed. The battery will die soon anyway so I guess I will have to.
