Back in School
Well, I’m back in school again. This time in Deutschland. Classes aren’t so bad. It’s almost like kindergarten for older people. (Ironic that the word kindergarten is so obviously German, don’t you think?) Classes are at Böblinger Straße not that far from down town Stuttgart and luckily much closer to some very nice bakeries. The pastries around here are absolutely delightful. My teachers have been accomodating (it must be tough when your language is being trod underfoot by linguistic elephants) and they only speak English to us when we clearly have no hope of figuring out what they are talking about.
I bought a 19 € cell phone today. I have had philosophical issues with cell phones for some time, but at that price I couldn’t resist. It even has 5 € phone credit on it, so it really was 14 Euro. You should see they have these large bins at places like Media Markt and Saturn with boxes of cell phones. Its like a garbage bin crying out “consume, consume!” And you know what, I did.
