Manic Week coming up

I’m not looking forward to this week coming up. I have two essays due, neither of which I have started, and I did tell you I gat family in town, so I want to spend some time with them. The week after that I have a presentation, and you may have guessed that I haven’t started that either. So a lot of juggling to do for sure. Will I succeed? I’ll keep you posted. And don’t criticise me for blogging for I believe that it helps to center me and keep me focused. As far as the assignments go, I think that if I don’t have them done by Monday, I’m in serious trouble. Maybe this week will see the return of the all-nighter. I’m keeping those fingers crossed.

You may have noticed that I have yet to switch my site over to the nice and fancy CMS system that I was promising several weeks ago. Well, I have discovered that phpWebsite isn’t going to work for my needs. I think for it to work, a CMS needs to take over all of the functions of this website, from announcements right up to the blog. Why should the blog be a seperate component? So besides phpWebsite’s inability to really handle the blog, it also seemed to be pretty lousy as a way to sort the information I was giving it. In other words, in my tests, it failed. To make up, I have been researching and looking for a CMS that can meet my needs. Not there yet, but when I find it I guess you will know. – later

I’ve thought about using CMS before, a while back, but I decided it had too many features that I didn’t use, so decided to just scale the website down, simple and stuff.

Haven’t seen you for too long!! We gotta meet up before I move! Sorry I’ve been away so much and so terribly busy.

Thanks for the thought. I got back to it a bit late. Still need to see your new place. I think I need CMS due to my content issues. Just to maintain the images and the text, which includes stories, essays, poems, etc, requires some kind of management. I’ve been using a sort of ad-hoc approach, but I’m tired of that now. I need a more integrated solution. At least thats how I feel now… who knows about later? :)
