I haven’t had such a big smile at the end of a movie since perhaps… Ocean’s Eleven? Spider Man 1? I, Robot? This is one enjoyable movie people! I’m talking about “the Incredibles”, the new flick from the people over at Pixar. Directed by Brad Bird, who also directed the Iron Giant. The super hero family! … if this doesn’t satisfy the comic book fanatic / little kid in you I don’t know what will.

Once again Pixar delivers a knockout in visuals. Elasti-girl’s motion is superbly rendered. So many things in this movie will have you saying “wow”. Sammy L. Jackson turns in a couple of good lines: “Where is my Super-Suit WOMAN!!”. Its nice to know there are black super-heroes in that world.

The little short “bounding” was humorous, but it really didn’t have enough of anything to last beyond its 5-7 minute running time. Cute fluff. But its nice to see a short instead of sitting through 30 trailers… thanks for that Pixar.

So that was my afternoon. It takes me at least an hour and a half to get to Fair View. Whoa. Famous Players is just too expensive. Back home I live less than 5 minutes from the cinema… Anyway tomorrow I’m going to see “Hairspray”. I’ll let you know how it goes. Later.
