X-treme Makeover
Hello, movies do make for interesting weekend fodder.
Forgive me for not blogging on the weekend, got caught up making stretchers and stuff. (this is an by-product of painting on unstretched canvases) If you want to see a nice thriller see “Taking Lives” starring Angelina Jolie and Ethan Hawke as opposed to “Secret Window” with Johnny Depp. Just my two cents anyway… Secret Window is just plain inexplicable. Mr. Depp as usual is great, but even he can’t save the film. Taking lives was better at the very least from the aspect of cinematography. Some really awesome shots in there. The twist at the end is fantastic, yet plausible, and Ethan Hawke’s acting is amazing. Jolie bears her “soul” too by the way. One and a half thumbs up 
On to what I am here to talk about… Mr. T. here needs major reconstructive surgery. Hence the Xtreme Makeover title of the blog. I tend to use white to redraw allot on my images, and you can see an eye being erased here. And it was my favorite (american spelling! Gah!) eye too. One thing you can’t do as an artist is get attatched to something. If it ain’t workin with the whole piece, get rid of it. (Good rule of thumb to live by;-)
